Gert came on Aliyah in 1976 from Philadelphia, USA. She has a BA in English literature and almost completed her Masters in teaching. She has worked in Family Planning and Development and Public Relations at the Hebrew University. Gert volunteers as liason with ESRA STUDENTS BUILD A NEIGHRHOOD in Kar Saba. She also has lots of writing experience. Gert is a widow with 2 children and 5 grandchildren
